A long weekend to attend a wedding and explore the area, based in a comfortable and conveniently located, modern house.
Positive: This a very modern, 2 bedroom house, with 2 bathrooms (one is an ensuite), modern conveniences, aircon, ceiling fans. It’s a lovely open plan arrangement with a fantastic deck overlooking parkland — all you can see is trees and shrubs, not neighbours - it’s brilliant. The house is located at the end of the street so it’s relatively quiet and within walking distance of town, just a few hundred meters. However Malena is very hilly, so some people would prefer to drive, and you can hear street noise from the Main Street at certain times of day. But again, that’s Maleny.

Positive: Beautifully and tastefully appointed. Comfy bed. Great location.
Negative: Nothing. If we were there for a longer stay, would have liked some comfy chairs on the deck on which to sit and enjoy the trees and wildlife.

Beautiful home and location close to shops and pubs
Positive: Beautifully furnished and very comfortable
Negative: Only 2 minors - unswept outside inc entrance leaves etc not like the image, took a while to work out we needed to physically light the oven despite a button (not in book)

MALENY, A PERFECT PLACE TO HOLIDAY
Positive: We have been to Maleny many times the past 30 years, usually for day trips or staying with friends in the area. We were amazed at the beauty of this house position next to rainforest and were delighted we had booked to stay 3 nights. Literally 230 metres walk to main street, and yet so peaceful.
The view on entry is stunning, straight though the loung room, verandah and into the rainforest. Every detail of landscaping attended to. The house itself is large, light and airy, fitted out with top quality appliances, comfortable beds in 2 large bedrooms.
It certainly won't be our last stay at Forest Haven.
Negative: ... a longer stay!

Just what we needed. As we didn’t want to share bed or bathroom
Positive: Modern but in the bush and loads of space
Negative: Gotta use a car
