The Avenue at Montville (Cottage)

We had a very enjoyable 2 night break at Montville Cottage.. We consider the weekend rate to be a little high for what y Positive: We enjoyed the location. The shower was amazing! The cottage was generous in size. Loved the wood burner. Kitchen utensils and supplies, excellent. There was a ramp leading up to the front door, which was great for my mobility challenged partner. Negative: The couches were very uncomfortable and very difficult for older guests to get in and out of. The doona was stained as was the mattress protector. View was obscured by vegetation overgrowth.

Positive: Lovely place for a romantic getaway. Clean and comfortable and great communication from the host. Negative: Some of the cooking equipment was well used, but still ok to cook with.

Weekend away from people Positive: The fire place , the solitude, the facilities , it was awesome Negative: Nothing

We loved our 6 night stay at The Avenue .Excellent communication from Jonathon. Clean cottage, with quality and comfortable furniture and bedding. Top-notch amenities. We ordered the Breakfast and dinner food packages and this was great value with delicious local produce! Perfect place for a couple, private and peaceful with a postcard view. Location is 3 kms from Montville main street so we recommend a car. In saying that, its also a walk with views which we did. Highly recommend this place for a stay.
